Energy Rating
An energy rating is a complete evaluation of the premises and a full
computer simulation of the property, including framing, insulation,
windows, building shell leakage, heating and cooling equipment along with
duct leakage, and solar orientation. State of the art energy analysis
equipment is used to provide the most thorough analysis of the property
and the best way for the homeowner to make the most cost-effective
upgrades to save energy.

Energy Scorecard
An energy scorecard is a quick evaluation of the energy efficiency of the
home, and is appropriate when buying a home as a preliminary analysis, or
as a first step towards making your older home more energy efficient. This
includes a blower door test to measure the leakiness of the building shell.
In older homes air leakage represents as much as 40% of the
space-conditioning costs. Clearly, sealing the house up tightly can greatly
reduce your energy costs. And saving money while saving energy is the
ultimate win-win scenario.
